The name comes from the Greek mythology figure Endymion, to resume the story, he might have been a shepherd who at nights liked to observe and study the moon. This caught the moon goddess' attention, Selene. She then fell in love with him, however he was a mortal, so she asked Zeus to grant him eternal youth. It is not clearly known why, but he was kept asleep forever instead, with Hypnos' powers, the god and personification of the concept of sleeping. And then Endymion's eyes were kept open so he could stay gazing at Selene.
For the unit, the name represents the state of being alive but stuck in a possible limbo, breathing but unmoving, asleep for an eternity. It reflects the members' struggles
of showing themselves as humans, and the complexity of their personas and internal identity.
